Four Eastern traditions have done something structurally related to Vibration—Language—Ethics Physics — dissolving certain dualisms through language operations. But each does it differently, and each differs from the present school in precise ways. "Family resemblance" is not "identity."

Laozi's core move: naming (the speakable) and true existence (the eternal) are split. The moment language utters X, X is no longer truly X. Language is diagnosed as a necessarily distorting medium.
Solution: do not speak (the nameless). Through refusing linguistic operation, the authenticity of existence is preserved.

Key difference: Laozi's Dao cannot be spoken; this school's ontology can be ontologically spoken — "this is."

不生亦不灭,不常亦不断,不一亦不异,不来亦不出。— 中论 · 八不偈 · Opening Verse
龙树《中论》的核心动作:通过否定所有二元对立来显形"空"。八不 = 不生/不灭 + 不常/不断 + 不一/不异 + 不来/不出。每一对都既不肯定也不否定,而是同时取消两极。
方法叫"破"(prasaṅga):不立任何命题,只破他人的命题。最终目的是让所有概念性 grasping(执)崩塌,显形空性(śūnyatā)。
Nāgārjuna's core move: manifest "emptiness" by negating all dualistic oppositions. Each pair is simultaneously canceled.
The method is called prasaṅga: establish no proposition; only refute others'. The final aim is to collapse all conceptual grasping, manifesting emptiness (śūnyatā).

不立文字,教外别传,直指人心,见性成佛。— 禅宗四句教
禅宗的核心动作:截断众流 —— 在概念思维流的中间直接打断,通过非语言动作(棒喝、公案、机锋)让主体当下脱出言语缠绕。
典型例子:临济义玄"无位真人是个什么干屎橛";赵州狗子"无";百丈野鸭子。每一个动作都是对语言操作的语言外打断。
禅宗对语言的态度比老子和龙树都激进:不只是"不说"或"破说",而是在说的过程中直接截断说本身。
Chan's core move: cut the stream — interrupt conceptual thinking mid-stream through non-linguistic acts (staff blow, koan, turn-word).
Examples: Linji's "true person of no rank — what dried shit-stick?"; Zhaozhou's "Wu"; Baizhang's wild duck. Each act is non-linguistic interruption of linguistic operation.
Chan's stance on language is more radical than Laozi's or Nāgārjuna's: not "do not speak" or "refute speech," but cut speaking itself in the middle of speaking.

维摩诘的核心动作:默然 —— 文殊师利问"什么是不二法门",维摩诘不回答。这一沉默被文殊师利赞为"真入不二"。
这是东方传统里对"语言取消二分"的最极致演示:不只是说出取消(老子)、不只是辩证地破二分(龙树)、不只是非语言截断(禅),而是在被要求说出二分取消的瞬间用沉默本身完成取消。
沉默不是无语,是最高级的语言操作。
Vimalakīrti's core move: silent thunder — when asked "What is non-duality?", Vimalakīrti does not answer. This silence is praised as "truly entering non-duality."
This is the most extreme demonstration of "language dissolving dualism" in the Eastern tradition: using silence itself to complete the dissolution at the moment one is asked to speak the dissolution.
Silence is not absence of language — it is the highest linguistic operation.

"Being that can be understood is language" · 1960
Gadamer placed understanding at language's center, close to this school. But Gadamer stops at "understanding is historical dialogue," does not precisify language's physical-operational mechanism. This school precisifies Gadamer's "dialogue ontology" into "grammar-ontology physics."
Derrida · Deconstruction
Différance · 1967
Derrida recognized the unsustainability of binary oppositions (structurally close to Nāgārjuna). But Derrida stops at exposing the failure of binaries, doesn't give ontological statement of what's left. Derrida: différance. This school: ontological grammar.
Late Wittgenstein · Language Games

Late Wittgenstein recognized language is practice/action — earlier and deeper than Austin. But Wittgenstein stopped at "language games are irreducibly plural forms of life," doesn't give ontological distinction between grammatical forms. This school precisifies "language games" into "ontological/modal legitimacy distinction."

Hetuvidyā developed highly precise cognition-language-inference formal systems. Family resemblance: both treat "how to state precisely" as central. But hetuvidyā serves Buddhist liberation; this school serves vibration-field operation. Same formal rigor, different purpose.
Wittgenstein-Chan Comparative Studies

Wittgenstein-Chan comparative work recognizes both treat language as practice/action. Family resemblance: this is a premise of this school. But comparative work stops at "pointing out similarities"; this school provides the unified axiomatic system.
Chan + Modern Neuroscience (Mindfulness)

Modern meditation studies connect Chan's "awareness" to neural states, but reduces to neural layer. This school: awareness is not a neural state, it is an ontological state of the vibration field. Meditation research is descriptive; this school is ontological. Not in conflict, but this school refuses reductive descent.
